Ah, the indecisiveness of celebrities. The public first started waiting anxiously for photographs of celebrity spawn and now are forced to wait on the names of the next generation of Tinseltown.
After the quirky names that Brooke Burke had chosen for her last three children the world waited anxiously to hear the naming job done on the most recent addition to the Burke-Charvet family.
Burke is the host of Rockstar; Supernova and is best known as a host on E!'s travel show Wild On! as well as the voice of Rachel Teller in the Need for Speed series of video games.
Welcome Shaya Charvet
Charvet is best known for his roll on Baywatch and also stared on Melrose Place. He is also set to star in several upcoming projects.
Brooke Burke gave birth to a little boy on March 5th but until recently the little man remained nameless. The name is all but pinned down, with Burke and David Charvet nailing down the first and last name.
The couple has chosen Shaya Charvet. According to Burke, who posted in a blog at Baboosh Baby, Shaya means “God's gift” in Hebrew all though name aficionados around the web disagree on that mean.
According to Behindthename.com, a website dedicated to names and their meaning, Shai, the traditional spelling of Shaya, means gift. Nathaniel is the name that means “god's gift” or more accurately 'god has given”.
The middle name has not been officially decided but Braven-Burke seems to be the front runner according to the same blog post made by Burke. Braven was chosen by Charvet.
Burke has two children from a previous relationship; Neriah 7 and Sierra Sky, 5 ½ . Burke gave birth to another girl, the first child of Charvet; Heaven Rain who is 14 months old.
Shaya is the first boy for both parents. He is Burke's fourth child and Charvet's second.
While Burke and Charvet certainly took some serious time to pick a name for their new addition they are not the only ones who have stalled on the naming process.
Tim Burton and Helena Bonham Carter did not confirm the name of their daughter, born on December 15th until February, and even then rumors circulated that the name was still unofficial. The name eventually chosen was Indiana Rose.
According to a blog on Timburtoncollectivenews.com, the couple had assumed their son Billy Ray Burton would be joined by a brother therefore they had only considered boys name for their new child.
Following the birth of their daughter Burton took off on a series of Sweeney Todd promotions and thus the naming of the baby had to wait.
