Sparrow James Midnight Madden Is A Cover Star Already

Being born on the 9th September 2009 (09/09/09) Sparrow James Midnight Madden has a very memorable birth date to match his unusual yet memorable name.
A Lucky Little Boy
Sparrow is the second child of Nicole Richie, 28, and Joel Madden, 30. He weighed in at 7lbs 14oz and his cute little face was revealed to the world on the 23rd October 2009 issue of People magazine. Sparrow has an older, equally interestingly named sister, Harlow Winter Kate Madden, who made her People magazine cover debut in February 2008 after being born on January 11th 2008. In an exclusive interview with the magazine, Richie talks about the unusual choice of name for her son, "Sparrow was one we both liked. I liked the way it sounded with Harlow, and there's the Captain Jack Sparrow connection." Captain Jack Sparrow being the quirky but lovable character played by Johnny Depp in the Pirates of the Caribbean movie franchise.
Richie’s Road To Motherhood
Nicole Richie is the adopted daughter of soul legend Lionel Richie. Once famous for her wild-child partying lifestyle, Richie has been open and honest about her drug experiences, even admitting she experimented with Heroin. As the best friend of socialite and Hotel-heiress, Paris Hilton, the duo were regulars on the American party scene. It was through a project with Hilton that Richie became a household name. They both starred in a reality TV series, The Simple Life, which saw them give up their normal privileged lifestyles to see how people with less money lived.
However, in 2004 the Richie and Hilton publicly fell out and did not speak for two years. During this time Richie had a personal transformation and hired celebrity stylist Rachel Zoe, who turned Richie into a Boho-chic style icon. She established herself as a personality in her own right, not just Hilton’s best friend.
Life-changing Joel Madden
In 2006, Richie met Joel Madden, lead vocalist of the American rock band Good Charlotte. He had a calming effect on her as she toned down her hardcore partying ways and since becoming a mother, albeit by surprise with her daughter’s pregnancy, has shunned the party lifestyle, preferring to focus on her family. She now designs a 1960’s inspired jewellery range called House of Harlow, named after her daughter.
Future As A Family
Although not married, Richie and Madden have not ruled out the idea, with Richie saying, "It's not something we're talking about now. If my kids ask me to get married, I'd get married."
Only time will tell if the adorable Madden babies will be joined by more siblings but no doubt the blissfully happy couple will share their joy via the medium of a photo-shoot.
