As the story his sensational split from Katie Price (aka Jordan) emerged Peter Andre stayed tight lipped, refusing to comment on his reasons for leaving or to badmouth his estranged wife.
In his weekly magazine columns and other interviews, Andre reiterated his determination to stay silent on the split, explaining that he did not wish to be drawn into a war of words with glamour model turned businesswoman extraordinaire Katie Price.
Peter Andre Stayed Silent on This Morning
In a daytime television interview for the popular British Magazine show This Morning, Andre told presenters Fern Britton and Philip Schofield “I’ve purposely not spoken about this – and there is a reason for it. You have to think long term, I know the kids are going to grow up and I know they are going to look back at everything. The main thing is that when someone hears me speak I don’t say anything bad about the mother of my children.”

He even maintained his silent stance after Katie’s interview with Piers Morgan in which she gave her side of the story and controversially revealed that she had sadly suffered a miscarriage shortly before the split, a fact that she and Andre had reportedly agreed to keep private.

But today the News of the World published an exclusive interview with the Mysterious Girl singer, in which he admits to accusing Katie of being a “disgrace” after her holiday in Ibiza and refers to media coverage of her post parting antics as “cheap”.

The singer uses the interview to quash rumours that he may have cheated on Price, which surfaced after the glamour girl claimed to have “heard things” about his fidelity during an interview for GMTV, and claims he would even take a lie detector test to prove he did not. He adds that there is no truth in reports of a relationship with reality TV personality Chantelle Houghton.
Katie and Peter Will Not Get Back Together
In the interview Andre reveals the couple's children have not yet been told of the split, instead believing he is away working when they are at home with Katie. And while he admits that he has been knocked for six by the separation, which has caused him to lost dramatic amounts of weight, Andre says there is no chance of reconciliation between the pair.
