The pop singer and motocross biker decide to go separate ways.

Celebrities seem to get married and divorced in such short turn-around times one is left reeling. There is barely time to find a cool name for the new couple (a la Bennifer) before the new couple calls it quits. The most recent casualty of the celebrity quickie-marriage: Pink and Carey Hart.

Pink, 28, real name Alecia Moore, and her motocross husband, Carey Hart, 32, have been married a little over two years. They were married January 7, 2006 in Costa Rica on the Four Seasons Hotel’s private beach.

Pink Wears White

Pink, to the surprise of her fans, looked very girly for the wedding. She wore a cream colored, low cut, somewhat traditional wedding dress rumored to have been designed by wedding dress designer Monique Lhuillier. It had a black ribbon around the midsection that draped to the front of her body.

According to People Magazine, the couple met at the 2001 X Games but broke up shortly in 2003 after a minor rough patch in their relationship.

Ever the lady to buck tradition, Pink proposed to Hart during one of his races by holding sign card emblazoned with the proposal around one of the turns. The next time he rode around, Pink was holding another sign saying she was serious. Hart immediately took himself out of the race and said yes.

But things didn’t always seem to be happily ever after in the world of self-described “white trash” and just the “same girl from Philly.”

Us Weekly Reports Trouble in Paradise

September of 2007 found the couple in the pages of US Weekly. The magazine reported overhearing Pink telling friends, “We’re just not getting along anymore. We each need our space. We need our distance. It’s not like it was when we first started.” Pink was seen more and more often without her wedding ring after this quote hit newsstands but the couple insisted their marriage was as solid as ever.

But in early 2008, the couple decided it best to separate. Pink released a statement saying that her divorce is “not about cheating, anger or fighting,” and still believes in her soon-to-be ex-husband.

She thanked her fans for the support through this hard time but it may not be the last chapter in the Pink/Hart saga. She also goes on to say that even though other celebrities spew words like “we’ll remain close friends”, which almost never seem to be the case, they really will remain best friends. She eludes to the fact that their marriage is getting in the way of the two of them being all they can be in their careers and that once they’re done conquering their respective jobs there might be “beach babies and sunshine one day” for the two of them together.
